North Dakota building codes

North Dakota adopts a statewide State Building Code through the Department of Commerce, codified under NDAC Article 108-01 with statutory basis in N.D.C.C. ch. 54-21.3. In 2010 the State Building Code Advisory Committee and eligible jurisdictions adopted the 2009 editions of the IBC, IRC, and IMC with North Dakota amendments. North Dakota administers plumbing under its own State Plumbing Code and fire safety through the State Fire Marshal. The model-code text below is the edition the state adopted.
