Utah building codes
Utah adopts statewide construction codes through the Utah State Construction Code (Utah Code Title 15A), set by the Legislature under the Uniform Building Standards Act. Effective July 1, 2010, Utah adopted the 2009 editions of the International Building, Residential, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Energy Conservation Codes as the statewide minimum standards; Utah uses the ICC plumbing and mechanical codes. The model-code text below is the edition Utah adopted, before state amendments.
- International Building Code
The 2009 International Building Code, adopted into the Utah State Construction Code (Title 15A), effective July 1, 2010.
- International Energy Conservation Code
The 2009 International Energy Conservation Code, adopted into the Utah State Construction Code (Title 15A), effective July 1, 2010.
