International Fire Code
The 2009 International Fire Code, incorporated by reference into the Washington State Building Code (WAC 51-54A). Governs fire prevention, fire protection systems, and hazardous-materials safety in new and existing buildings.
International Fire Code (2009)
Washington adopted the 2009 IFC as WAC 51-54A, effective July 1, 2010, with state amendments. It regulates conditions hazardous to life and property from fire and explosion, including means of egress maintenance, fire-protection systems, and the storage and use of hazardous materials.
